About LLDC Craft Museum (Living and Learning Design Centre), Ajrakhpur

The Living and Learning Design Centre, popularly known as LLDC Craft Museum, is an international-standard crafts museum located in Ajrakhpur village, around 15 kilometres east of Bhuj on the Bhuj–Bhachau highway in the Kutch district of Gujarat. Established in 2016 by the Shrujan Trust — founded by the visionary Chanda Shroff — this pioneering institution is dedicated to preserving, revitalising, and promoting the glorious craft heritage of Kutch. Spread across a beautifully designed sprawling campus, the museum showcases the stunning diversity of Kutchi embroidery, featuring the distinctive styles of communities such as the Ahir, Meghwal, Rabari, and Mutwa, along with rare textile antiquities and thousands of exquisite classical embroidery panels. Beyond being a museum, LLDC is a vibrant crafts education and resource centre with galleries, a library, craft studios for weaving, block printing, pottery, and metalwork, plus a gift shop and a café serving local food. Its sustainable architecture and immersive multimedia displays make it a must-visit for craft lovers, designers, and students. Since Ajrakhpur is a short drive from Bhuj, most travellers prefer booking a comfortable taxi, cab, or tempo traveller service from Bhuj for a convenient visit.
